1. The visualizations shown here are generated from public data released by Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) through the Ministry’s daily COVID-19 updates.
  2. *In generating the displayed visualizations, HAZ has identified some computation errors in the summation of some of the metrics reported by the Ministry.  In such cases HAZ has used corrected data to generate the visualizations.  Otherwise, the data as provided by the MOHCC is not manipulated or altered in any way.  Efforts are being made to reach out to the MOHCC to notify them of errors so far identified by HAZ, and to establish ongoing communication to ensure the distribution of accurate metrics.
  3. The HAZ website is currently under active development.  We will be adding a publicly accessible library of  various documents, including the daily MOHCC COVID-19 updates, to our site.
  4. **On 06May2020, the MOHCC changed the format of the publicly released Coronavirus (COVID-19) update.  The new format of the update no longer shows provincial testing data. The new format now breaks down testing by test type (Rapid Test versus PCR Test) and also by testing sector (Public Sector (presumably under the MOHCC) versus Private Sector).
    • HAZ has developed new charts to track both testing by test type as well as testing by the public sector versus the private sector.
      • On 13May2020, the MOHCC stopped reporting comparative data on COVID-19 testing between the Public Sector and the Private Sector. As a result, HAZ will file the related charts under the data visualization archives.  HAZ will instead report cumulative testing data as provided by the MOHCC.
    • HAZ is unable to continue tracking provincial level testing data unless and until the MOHCC resumes sharing that data.
      • On 14May2020, the MOHCC resumed sharing provincial level testing data.  Consequently, HAZ has resumed incorporating this data in its data visualizations.

  6. Please reach out directly to the MOHCC with any questions on the raw data upon which the HAZ visualizations are based.  Otherwise, you may reach out to us with questions about our visualizations.
